Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light' ~ Morning Light Maiden Grass wildlife-friendly (4) Dr Mary Gillham ArchiveMorning Light Maiden Grass is a late blooming variegated ornamental grass that forms dense clumps of narrow arching grass like foliage. The narrow foliage is light green with white margins giving it an overall silver appearance and turns straw beige by winter. Airy tassel like copper red plumes bloom above the foliage in late summer and gradually mature to silvery white and persist into winter. Best color in full sun and moist well drained soil.
