Belgium Night Poster Style:England, c. 1915 Billets de bains de merVintage poster produced by the British National Committee for Relief in Belgium, a committee organized to provide compensation to Belgium for its World War I losses. The poster depicts a goddess, perhaps Minerva or Athena, looking down charitably on a scrappy woman and her three children, perhaps an allegory for Britain looking down charitably on defiled Belgium. "Royal Albert Hall June 21st. They must not starve. Support the local fund." Artist: John
