Arme rijken -- Toon Kortooms boekenplein A report on a journeyUnlike many of his well known novels (such as Beekman and Beekman), Poor Rich is a collection of 19 short stories and anecdotes. In it, Toon Kortooms looks back on his encounters with millionaires and multi millionaires also known as "rich scoundrels" by common folk. The central message of the book is as ironic as it is tragic: those who are most materially blessed often turn out to be spiritually and emotionally destitute.
