It is an ancient Norse symbol associated with the god Odin and his warriors from beyond, the Einherjars. The three interlocking triangles have a very strong symbolism. The number three can thus represent the three levels of sacredness (body, soul and spirit) but also, for example, the three norns, which weave the web of destiny. The three triangles together have nine sides.
