Constructed of a silver alloy, the exterior featuring a central oval medallion bearing an engraved monogram, flanked on one side by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika and on the other side by the emblem of Jagdgeschwader 27, unmarked, corresponding to a mens size 6. 5, weighing 6. 2 grams, a commemorative ring possibly worn by a Messerschmitt Bf 109 pilot or a crewman attached to a noted fighter wing in
